  used indoors or outdoors. When using for aquarium sump tanks, you may need an air pump to put some air into water to make the filter media to move, it would be more efficient if there are micro bubbles in the water

  Easy to Use & Less Maintenance:it's very easy to use the filter media, just pour the media into the sump tank water. You wouldn't have to clean it much if at all, just let the media stay at where they are, then change water regularly

  Get More Surface Area:a small cylinder inner space is divided into 5 equal parts,the inner and outer walls of the cylinder is fill with raised stripes, this mostly increases contact surface area with water, it's good for biofilm formation and the grow of beneficial bacteri.
